What's better than a three mile hike followed by a sit down restaurant. I think... Nothing. Minus the fact that after you stuff your face you have to walk back to your car, this is a great place! Located just north of Weiden, Germany, is a small town called Falkenberg. Follow roadsides from the autobahn and take a right towards the quaint little town. Just before entering the town, there is a small drive that curves back with a small sign. It may be hard to see the drive when the grass gets tall. Park your car hand head down the small grass way. Maybe take a picture of the map before going so you know at what point you are on the trail while walking. Biking is another option! Germany loves the outdoors so they want you to enjoy it too, anyway that you can. I brought my dog Millie. She loved the long walk without the leash. Huge rocks, flowing streams and tall pines are plentiful along the route. Halfway through you will reach the restaurant. They had plenty to choose from and were very friendly. Deserts galore, coffee and beer for all! Once your done, you can continue the walk around to a lake and fields. I prefer the shaded rocky hike back instead. There were so many things to see along the way, so you can't go wrong with whatever path you choose.
Huge rocks and rushing waters!
Water wheel fun for the kids at the Resturant.
We almost are to the end here!
